Supporting children and young people in residential children’s homes as well as semi-independent situations is one of our duties in this field. A variety of shifts are offered, but they frequently consist of lengthy days, sleep-in shifts, and waking nights.
You must have completed your basic training and have at least 12 months of experience working in a similar setting (whether on a volunteer or paid basis) in order to be hired as a temporary member of staff.
You could be required to have an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or Children and Young People’s workforce, by some of the children’s homes we work with. This may be something that would work well for our clients if you have expertise working with young people or working in nurseries with children under the age of 5.
We are able to provide care training to employees who are consistently employed and satisfy the requirements established by our training supplier.
The adult care industry has a wide range of roles. Private hospitals, care facilities, nursing homes, and supported housing for persons with learning disabilities and mental health problems are just a few of our diverse clientele. There are different types of shifts, including sleep-in shifts, waking nights, and long and short day shifts.
You must have a minimum of six months of experience in a comparable position in order to work as a temporary employee in adult care. More expertise could be needed to work with some of the more specialized clients, such as those in mental health. Additionally, you will need to possess credentials from relevant training that are current. It is advantageous to have an NVQ in Health and Social Care at level 2 or 3, as the majority of our clients prefer to work with employees who have had this training.
